Either is a good choice ... and you will be happy with it.
But ...
Toshiba sets have a problem with high resolution information in the NTSC domain. The upconversion of SDTV signals to 540P ends up degrading the signal and losing the high end detail ... most evident in progressive scan DVD players. You also get high resolution banding ...

Panny's are less uniform OOTB ... and you could get one that looks ghastly ... but calibration usually takes care of the Panny.
