I do realize the Sampo does not have an internal line
doubler. I guess I could always buy the iScan line doubler.
I do plan on buying a progressive scan DVD player.
Has anyone here been able to compare these two
sets? I'm trying top decide which to buy.
    Cheers, Steve

If I recall the Sampo has a numnber of strange flaws, like the only S-video in is on the front pannel and it has very few inputs in the back. I was intrigued until I started seeing the Sampo had quirks like that...

I'd go for the 40H80, but that's cuz I have a 40X81 & love it. Unlike the Sampo, you don't need a special service remote to access the service menu. Also, Tosh RPTVs are much more tweakable than other sets.
