I have the service manual for my Toshiba 32A40 (actually it says 32A50 on the manual but same TV I guess). Anyway, I'm just wondering what the difference is between the "Service" mode and the "Design" mode, and which one I should use when calibrating the setting using AVIA.

When I first got the TV I calibrated using the regular user menus, but now that I have a chance to sit down and do it right I want to set all those menus to the center and make the adjustments in the service menu. I'm just not sure what the difference is between the service menu and the design menu and which I should be using. Thanks guys.

    Greetings

It makes no difference what mode ... anything you do in service mode carries through on the design side.

Ideally ... use design for more customizing work ...

What you have are more options in the desginer mode. You'll find parameters there that aren't avalaible on the service menu and are useful if you want to tweak deeper.
