So to go along with my other thread on Best Buy, this is where I'm leaning. Would anyone wave me off in favor of the 55 inch Mits WS-A55 for $2,399.99?

Not for that model Mitsubishi. It's not equal to what you could get for that same price on a normal Gold or Gold Plus model (55311 or 55411). What you are getting in the Toshiba is their normal model - not a custom job for a retailer. And I say this being a 55311 owner. Toshiba makes a great HDTV, so you could do WAY worse. Go with your eyes : )
