This is from Digital Bits' Rumor Mill:

File this in the category of VERY tentative information, but we've been getting a number of reports from usually reliable retail sources on upcoming street date information for some MAJOR late 2002 DVDs. Here's what we've got, and this comes from multiple sources now...

October

The Scorpion King (10/2), Scooby Doo (10/15), E.T. the Extra- Terrestrial: The 20th Anniversary Edition and Mr. Deeds (10/22)

November

Spider-Man (11/5), Ice Age (11/12), Men in Black II (11/19), Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (11/26)

December

Stuart Little 2 (12/3), Lilo & Stitch (12/20), Back to the Future Trilogy and Spy Kids 2 (12/17)

Talk about a potentially packed 4th quarter!

So, my list is:

Spider-Man

Back To The Future Trilogy (if...)

Pulp Fiction

Panic Room

Scorpion King

Haven't seen AOTC, LOTR, Unfaithful and obviously all the ones that aren't out yet - so I can't put them on the list.

Im gonna wait and see about Wrath Of Khan. Giant Robo is supposed to be out over the summer which was a series I loved.

BTW,Is there any news on what the difference will be between the Aug and Nov LOTR releases? Will the extra footage be in the Aug release or do we have to wait until Nov for that? What the hell can they possibly put on 5 discs??

This is probably old news to some so I'm not going to start a new thread but DVDtalk is reporting August 27 as the release date for Sopranos season III.

1) Lord of the Rings : Fellowship of the Ring - 5 disc set
2) Traffic : Criterion Collection
3) Star Wars : Episode II
4) Sopranos : Series 3
5 TIE) Pulp Fiction / Jackie Brown Special Editions
Why do I count Pulp and Jackie together? Because I see them as parts of a great opening trilogy, and I don't see people complaining about Back to the Future being a single choice. If you're going to force me to choose. :frowning:
then Pulp Fiction.

Finally Tarantino movies done right on DVD, but a little disappointed in no commentaries in Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.
