There's a lot to look forward to in the months leading up to the end of this year. Every week or every other week something comes out that I have to own. And it gets worse, looks like, thanks to all the upcoming releases (not that I'm complaining).

This might be a fun thing to do. I'll list what I am most eagerly waiting for in the coming months, excluding stuff that we have no release dates on so far (Dances with Wolves, Back to the Future...).

1. Innerspace (don't laugh - but look at the features we're getting! and i've never seen it in widesceen)

2. Pulp Fiction/Jackie Brown (too bad there won't be a commentary on these two, but the other features more or less make up for that)

3. Beauty and the Beast (if this is anything like the Snow White disc - and it should be even more - it will be a feast)

4. This is a tie between Ed Wood and Speed (where are the special features on Ed Wood? Tim Burton always does commentaries on his films!)

5. Lord of the Rings (both the 2- and 4-disc versions for me... i wasn't totally blown away by it, but it's a good film nonetheless)

1. Lord if the Rings- I can't wait for the five disc box set! I'll probably rent the two-discer again and again till November.

2. UHF- I HAVE TO get this disc. I am anxiously awaiting my copy to arrive.

3. Near Dark- I haven't been able to find the copy I made of a VHS since I made it. I need this!

4. Simpsons Season 2- Damn you Fox! One release a year is driving me INSANE (or at least more so)!

5. Gremlins/Gremlins 2- For some reason I have this thing for horror/comedy movies.

TIE

5. Pulp Fiction/Jackie Brown- Any director with a giant forehead is great in my book. I'm also a little dissapointed that QT didn't do commentaries but it'll be great to have these.

As for movies with no release date yet:

Toxic Avenger 1-3 Box Set/Citizen Toxie

Death to Smoochie

Reservoir Dogs SE

Back to the Future Trilogy

From VCI, Silver Lode and Passion.
From Columbia TriStar, The Lost Command.
From MGM, What's The Matter With Helen.
