Saw a link to the Top 10 Videogame Disappointments over at Fark. My favorite, regarding crappy Superman games:

For me my biggest disappointment would be Pools of Radiance 2 Ruins of Myth Drannor. UGH! Horrible game and a title that I was really anticipating.

Besides that the writer is seriously misinformed.

I strongly agree that the death of the VMU is a huge disappointment.

2600 Pac Man is definitely one of the greatest disappointments ever. Moreso than ET.

ION Storm as a company should be up high on the list.

Super Mario Bros 2 ranks pretty high to me (and a lot of people).

SMB 2? Really? Why? I liked it, but I was just a kid. I did end up getting it on the GBA, though, it was fun to play through it again.

Personally I thought SMB 3 was an ugly piece of crap and a huge disappointment. It doesn't surprise me that Nintendo isn't releasing that one again on the GBA, and instead skipping right to SM World.

    Anything on SEGA CD [IMG]
NHL 94' on Sega CD was worth the cost though - what a great game that was! Back then anyway [IMG]

Kip: I said not much better so any PS2 fans out there would not be insulted, specifically somebody with the same initials as Michael Jordan. [IMG]

I'm a big Tekken fan, so I liked TTT over Soul Calibur because I like the game, not because I hate Sega (which I don't).

I think of all the launch lineups, the PS2s was the worst, but it had a lot more variety. The X-Box had a great game or two, but the rest were lacking. The GCN had a few really good games and a few so-so or bad games.

So each had its good and bad points.

Xbox with the weakest launch lineup in history-I was actually thinking that it was the best since the SNES. Halo it just...well...Halo, Munch is Amazing, Starfighter SE is a lot of fun, and I've heard great things about PGR. Tony Hawk 2x looks good (although I'm holding out for 3) and Obi Wan could be a great game (or it could be a load of crap).

Also-Shadows of the empire? What the hell was this guy thinking? This was an AWFUL game that had one good level. Maybe if they'd figured out how to set up the controls right it could have been something, but not as it was set up.

Shadows of the Empire had a weird control scheme, but after getting used to it, the game was VERY good.

ET!!! Was the worst game ever!! I remember spending HOURS trying to get out of that Damn pit. For those of you that never played it ,or who were so traumatized by the experiance that you have repressed the terrable memory, Under a minute into the game you come across a pit. Then you try to jump it. but it is too long so you fall in. BUT YOU DON'T DIE!!! oh no those rat bastard programers won't let you die. And the pit is juuust to deep for you to jump out so you just sit there until you turn the game off then turn it back on and One minute in you come to a pit and you try to jump it again and again and again... this game intoduced me to true fury!

Just out of curiousity, what was so terrible about the Sega CD? I never played one, but had the impression that it was a decent system. Are you guys talking about all the games or just the FMV games?
