It took me a minute to connect with Homer Bedloe. Then I realized that he was played by the great Charles Lane, who was always the perfect skinflint whenever he showed up. It's fitting that that is the case, as the earliest work in which I can recall seeing him is as old man Potter's assistant in It's a Wonderful Life.
