Didn't see a thread for this.
We all know what 2020 did to the movies and to...well...everything. I did my best to catch up the last few months, but, I finally decided it was time to finally do a list of the Top 10 films of 2020*.
YOUR LIST?
#1. Nomadland (Chloe Zhao)
#2. The Father (Florian Zeller)
#3. Pieces Of A Woman (Kornel Mundruczó)
#4. Corpus Christi (Jan Komasa)
#5. News Of The World (Paul Greengrass)
#6. Another Round (Thomas Vinterberg)
#7, Dear Comrades (Andrei Konchalovsky)
#8. Collective (Alexander Nanau)
#9. Never Rarely Sometimes Always (Eliza Hittman)
#10. A Sun (Mong Hong Chung)
The Runners-Up:
Time (Garrett Bradley)
Minari (Lee Isaac Chung)
The Outpost (Rod Lurie)
Crip Camp (James Lebrecht & Nicole Newnham)
Sound Of Metal Darius Marder)
Special Mention: Small Axe by Steve McQueen (it's a TV series)
* I used the Awards deadline most groups and critcs went by, which was February of 2021. Therefore, movies like THE FATHER, JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH etc. are included for consideration. Even though CORPUS CHRISTI was a 2019 Oscar Nominee, it did not get a theatrical release until 2020.
