Another film I watched yesterday (on account of Valentine's Day) and loved it (saw it 2nd time after more than 20 years) is
Wuthering Heights (1992).
I assume it may not be the best rendition of the story on film, but I'd purchase it on Bluray,
I love Ralph Fiennes, and the music score by Sakamoto (you can listen to the main theme in the trailer).

And now I see The Lion in Winter sitting there. Hmmm. I think I just need to spring for one of those mod kits for my new Oppo 203 so that I don't even need to orry about this anymore.

There's not that many 90's films I'd like, but I would like the remake of The Getaway 1994, I enjoy it as much as the original. It was down for a release in Germany late last year, but then it disappeared from the lists.

Well this film is at last being released in Germany early next month.

I don't own it, but if it was locked, it would have the Region B sign on that caps-a-holic Bluray info.

I was just listening to the great soundtrack of Jude (1996) (starring Kate Winslet just before Titanic) and I remembered how much I'd love this exceptional period drama in Bluray.
I see there is a US DVD by Polygram and a European DVD by Universal UK.
So, it's Universal that could release this? or which boutique label?

It's been 20 years since I saw this, but I remember it was beautiful and heart wrenching!

Do we know who could release Little Buddha (1993) in USA?
Now with The Last Emperor coming, and The Sheltering Sky already released, I would love to have that film on blu-ray too to complete the Bertolucci Asian Trilogy.
There are some European blu-rays but apparently they have wrong aspect ratio.

No. If it comes from Imprint it is region free, guaranteed. Alas, quality from Imprint is suspect and at the mercy of the studio providing them with the transfer. Judge and buy accordingly.

Well, I haven't bought anything from Imprint, nor I will I think.
The only release I'm interested in is The Naked Jungle, and I'm waiting in case someone else picks it up.
Though I regretted having not bought the Yimou set.
