I've got two I wonder about.

Bulworth (1998), and Man on the Moon (1999).

Man on the Moon is especially odd, because you can get virtually every Jim Carey film on Blu... except Man on the Moon.

And Bulworth is just a film I like and wouldn't mind picking up on Blu.

I've just realised that 2 of the films in my initial list have HD Bluray ready versions at itunes!
Stanley and Iris and The Prince of Tides

I don't understand why they don't release them on disc.
I think a film should be released first on disc and then as a download.
My thinking is this:
Whoever is interested in the film will buy the disc if he cannot wait when there is no other option; but if it has been released as a download only first, people who have bought it, won't buy the more expensive disc afterwards so the studio loses money that way.
Is my thought faulty?

Any hope for 1492: Conquest of Paradise on Bluray? (perhaps next year for the film's 25th anniversary)
I know about the European Blurays but a 4k restoration would look spectacular in this film!

Speaking of Val Kilmer films...

The Ghost and Darkness - this one for sure. What an amazing film!
Tombstone (the director's cut)
The Real McCoy
Thunderheart

Kilmer's back catalog is criminally underrepresented in blu ray.

Some others...

The Chase (Charlie Sheen)
Judgment Night (Emilio Estevez)
Men at Work (Sheen and Estevez!)
The Cowboy Way (Woody and Kiefer)
8 Seconds (guilty pleasure)
The Watcher (I know it was released in 2000, but close enough).

1492 definitely needs a release. I would argue something of Criterion caliber.

The 1990's weren't the best decade in film by any stretch of the imagination, but I went to the movies a lot during that period so I have some nostalgic memories associated with all of these films.

Just realized that there is a blu ray release for the Watcher. Sorry about that, not only was it not 1990's (2000), but it has been released. No one said anything so I might be the only out there that liked that film. Spader was good and Reeves plays a great serial killer.

I will second Angela's Ashes and The Secret Garden.

And add: Barton Fink, The Straight Story, Simon Burch, Cobb and Cannibal: The Musical.

Thanks for the info on the UK Angela's Ashes.

And, for those who missed it, Kino has announced that a Blu of Barton Fink is forthcoming.
