GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL! :D
Finally, after 13 LONG years of the minor leagues that are known as Elementary, Middle, and High School... I am moving on to a better place... college :) The space under my name will soon read "Elitist Bastard who lives in Orlando, Florida" because I am moving there to attend the University of Central Florida (go Knights!), to study for a degree in... uh... well that is still in the air as of yet ;)
I am still here in Fort Lauderdale till August working on an internship somewhere (still working on that).
Anyways, wish me luck! :D
(I hope I don't trip on stage or anything ;) )

You lucky son of a bitch. :D I hope you have fun in college and you better still keep in touch with me so I have somebody to annoy online. And just remember these words of wisdom:
"Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son." ;)

Congrats to you! I remember thinking graduating from high school as not being that big of a deal. But looking back I wish I would have seen it for what it was (a good accomplishment) and enjoyed it more. I also hope you enjoy college and life after high school. I didn't, and always hope others have a better experience. Life changes from here!

Congrats Rob!
I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night thinking "Thank god I'm not in high school anymore!"...
...and I'm 30!
Have a great summer.

The best thing about graduating is the next few months mean you become nocturnal and wake up in strange places. Congratulations and have fun.

Congratulations. Hope your schooling experience is better than mine. I loved everything about college except the actual school part. A let down really. Oh well.....

Yeah, I am looking forward to the end of college for one thing... a front projection system and some better speakers (can you tell that I have been on HTF for a while ;) )

Congratulations, Rob!

I graduated high school 25 years ago.

College is quite a bit different from high school. Its all about balance. Kind of like trying to find the balance in the force. I did great in H.S., but kinda screwed up college because I was rather sheltered by my parents. Got to college and had to figure out all kinds of things--money, girls, beer, freedom, etc. Wished I had spent a little more time with the books. Gotta figure out how to juggle it all and keep it all in perspective. Best of luck!

Hey, Rob,

Congratulations on the graduation. I went to UCF as well, back in 1993 (jeez, nine years ago!!)... The campus is a little more bustling than back in my day, and there are certainly nicer facilities. When I went there, the only food on campus was provided by Marriott and it was AWFUL. And I hated to leave campus because it would mean losing a great parking space. Now, they have an incredible student union with Subway, Wendys, Sabarro and more... first time I saw the place, I wished I was back in college.

I miss Orlando. And I'm reminded of this fact as the Florida Film Festival is coming up next month...

I'm back in Graduate school at UCF. Parking is still a bitch so I hope you plan living on campus.

Congratulations

I never went to my graduation. What a waste of time

If they insist on wasting time with a ceremony just have the valedectorian get up and say "We are the future, we must strive to do good"(Tell me ONE graduation speech that doesn't say the same thing in about 100x more words), chuck the box of blank papers into the crowd while scrolling the names on a screen

So much more efficient

A FEW UPDATES
Well, I started college 2 weeks ago, have gotten a good feel for the campus, dropped and added some classes, and have made some new movie-maven buddies (along with some of my former droogs from High School).
When I went there, the only food on campus was provided by Marriott and it was AWFUL.
Marriot is OUT, UCF Dining Services is in :) And the food is actually quite good (better than my mom can make it ;) ). The only thing that disappoints is breakfast, where they try to pass Eggo waffles/pancakes as their own ;) Steak Night was good the other night though

I changed my major upon arrival at orientation to Computing for Digital Media. I feel a more-specialized degree that combines my love of the art and my keenness on computers is right up my alley.
Any of you other guys on-campus? Maybe we can catch a movie sometime (I have yet to find a place to put my rear speakers in my dorm, though :) )
