I agree - virtually any sub will add a new dimension to your system.

My Linn's go pretty low - but when I added my sub it really filled in the bottom end nicely.

A sub is one of those items that will make an instant change in your system right out of the box.

Good luck with your search - there are lots of good subs out there... even some in the used equipment section. ;)

that sub is an extremely popular low-cost solution around here. apparently, for $100, it can't be beat.

I've owned it for about a year. It's an excellent value. Do I want to upgrade? You bet. But I'll probably want to upgrade the Hsu or SVS after I've owned it for a year. It's the nature of the hobby. :)

Get a sub and set your speakers to LARGE if you like. Whatever sounds best to you. Experiment.

Everyones equipment and rooms are different, so there should not be set rules for good sound. Strive for flat or near flat (no peaks) response though.

A few of us set our speakers to LARGE, we just don't tell anyone...;)
