    Ladies and Gentlemen....
In an effort to stop a serious problem before
it starts, we kindly request that any feedback
on either SPIDERMAN or EPISODE II
DVDs be posted in the review threads that already
    exist, created by myself.
Please DO NOT start any new threads for your
own personal review purposes. These posts will
    be removed -- not moved.
We are trying to reduce the clutter that we expect
from the onslaught of messages that relate to these
    titles.
Your cooperation will help keep this forum more
    organized and less "Spidey-Clones" congested.
    Thanks a bunch!

Didn't ya know? That's what they have in store for Spider-man III [IMG]
Just kidding. They wouldn't do that to us, would they? I mean, it's Hollywood. They'd never run with such a ridiculous plotline.
    Right? [IMG]

Might also want to extend that to LOTR:FOTR: EE. I've got a feeling that it just might be a hot topic of discussion around here in the coming days.

I still remember the good old days 3 or 4 years ago where someone would start a thread just to say "I got my Titanic DVD." (It seemed like)half the threads in this area would be locked by admins because of that.

In case anyone is interested... Blockbuster Inc. will open selected stores at Midnight Nov. 1 to launch the DVD and VHS release of its favorite wall-crawling, webslinging hero. "Spider-Man."

Participating Blockbuster stores also will be celebrating the arrival of "Spider-Man" with "Spider-Man"-themed events on Oct. 31, and extended hours at select Blockbuster stores across the U.S.

Along with Blockbuster’s standard promotions fans may enter for a chance to win the ultimate Spider-Man collectible -- a one-of-a-kind life-size replica crafted of nearly 70 pounds of rubber, fabric, steel and plaster.

"As one of the most successful movies of the year, Spider-Man is more than just a new release, it's part of movie history," said Jim Notarnicola, EVP and chief marketing officer for Blockbuster.

    That's going a bit far.
Are people that impatient for this movie that they are really going to lineup at Blockbuster at midnight, and then watch the DVD during the AM hours of Nov 1?

then you could actually say the same time about Attack of the Clones or Fellowship of the Rings Extended Edition when they will also be sold at 00:00. So I think people will also queue for these ones.

And, despite Ron's request, we've closed five stray Spider-Man threads already today. Reminds me of when Star Wars V came out last summer.

Believe it or not, however, I actually ordered the Spidey thing. Grew up with Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's take on the character. And I just read Widescreen Review's review; Suzanne Hodges thinks the effects look fake.

Got Clones Tonite, dug it tremendously, but gotta be honest... in a few scenes with the Live action (NOT THE FX)
the pic. was a tad soft. I have a SPOT tweaked Mits. Diamond and I did notice this. I agree that overall, the pic. is AWESOME, but there are a few shots where the image is a tad soft. An example is when Obi-Wan and Anakin 1st walk into the "bar" when looking for the assasin. VERY soft! Could be the photography, I dunno. But ALL the FX scenes look pretty phenomenal so it made me wonder. Sound on the other hand is perfect!
    Any one else think so??
