If the online article I read was correct, that this was your pre-Jaws highest grossing movie, why hasn't it been released on DVD?

It may have been their highest grossing movie of the 1950's or at least of the year it came out (1955?), but there was a little movie called THE STING that was a huge hit just 2 years before JAWS that was their highest grossing release at the time.
Still, this is yet another example of a major studio ignoring their massive catalog. Universal has tons of classic Westerns (the Jimmy Stewart/Anthony Mann films come to mind) and WWII films (and TO HELL AND BACK is certainly one of them) that deserve release on DVD. Even simple, movie-only widescreen editions would suffice.
