I don't know about you David but I like TV on DVD so will support even Voyager.
Seriously, I enjoyed Voyager so will look forward to it's eventual release. Also, the bigger the Trek fan the more you will indiscriminately buy.

TOS was finished on film, with optical special effects. TNG was finished on NTSC video (composite master for the first few seasons, then component).

So you're saying that TNG was shot on film but mastered/completed on tape? Please confirm this for me. I'm prepping my review and was confused that the product LOOKED like it came from video but showed some issues that seemed like they emanated from film. If TNG uses BOTH at various points, that explains a lot of things...

Has anyone here placed a preorder at North American DVD or DirectVideo? They are both Canadian retailers with price points at the $85 mark. The only Canadian retailer I've used has been Total Action Universe though, and don't know what to expect from either of these.

Anyone have any thoughts? Or a better deal?
