I recently put a Cablevision DVR(Scientific Atlanta 8300HD) in at someone's house, after removing a DirecTV Tivo unit. The person does not like the SA unit, and wants to go back to Tivo. Is there any particular one that works well with Cable, and has HD capability?

There are no models of TiVo worth using with digital cable yet, period. Any model would have to record an analog SDTV signal. Recommend he uses the SA HD PVR until TiVo has an HD model available, hopefully soon.

Pretty much you're stuck waiting for the Series 3 boxes which will have dual tuner and HD capabilities. No time frame for delivery though. [IMG]

Well, Tivo does have a new standalone series two now with dual tuner capability. However, for HD, like the other people here have said, you'll have to wait for the TiVo Series 3 due out later this year, but costs estimate are anywhere from $500-1k. It may be pricey, we'll have to wait and see.
