I'm still sort of new to Tivo, but after owning
a similar REPLAY unit for years before, I am very
    familiar with PVR technology.

All of a sudden my Season Pass programs are no
longer recording -- or at least I can't find them.

Normally to find recorded programs I just go to
the NOW PLAYING list and the recorded shows
are listed at the very top.

This is no longer the case. All I have in my
NOW PLAYING directory is all the crap that
Tivo recommends. I really wish I could get rid of
    the Tivo recommendations list.

Just for the heck of it I did a SYSTEM TEST
in the SETUP menu. The only thing that failed was
the SAT IN SIGNAL, but all my channels are
    coming in perfectly.

So I fail to see why Tivo is suddenly not recording
Season Pass shows that it once did (I selected
FIRST RUN and REPEATS). I may also be looking in
the wrong area for the listed programs.

    Thanks for your assistance.

-Is your To Do list populating?
-Does the recording history at the top of the To Do list say anything about recordings you missed?
-now playing, depending on what software version is on there, has various sorting & grouping options (hit "enter" or "display" depending on remote). You scrolled through the whole list & there are only suggestions?
    -try a reboot
-you can turn off the suggestions under preferences. I like to leave them on since they occasionally find something interesting plus it functions as a rough free space indicator.

    Hi, Stephen!

What seems to be happening (and your reply
prompted me to push further to locate this) is
that the recorded programs are pushed to the TOP
    of the LIST.

It's ridiculously difficult for anyone who doesn't
know better to find it because you have to scroll
through pages of TIVO RECOMMENDATIONS to get to the
actual list of shows you recorded.

So, for the moment, I have found what I was looking
    for. Thanks for the help.

At some point you must have changed the default sort order, by hitting a numeric shortcut in now playing. By hitting enter or display you should be able to see options to change the sort order back to the way you want it.

Takes a while to get through the menu, but on my Series 2 unit (the DirecTIVO's is a bit different, but th suggestion list can be turned off as well).

    1) Tivo Central
    2) Messages and Settings
    3) Settings
    4) Recording
    5) Tivo Suggestions
    6) No, dont record Tivo Suggestions

I virtually never found anything I liked in their suggestions that I didn't already watch and I'd just as soon see only the things I asked the Unit to record -- no wading.

Ron, is your directivo the HD-tivo or SD? If it is SD, check to see if you already have the ver 6.2 software upgrade. The old version was 3.x. Your system info will have that for you somewhere.

Anyway, the 6.2 software gives you the option of "folders" which you can use to organize your recorded programs, i.e., all the csi's will be together, all the Lost's, etc. It's really helpful for cutting down the number of pages you have to scroll through. Oh, and the 6.2 software is also much faster. Unfortunately, they haven't done the upgrade for the HD boxes yet. To activate folders, you just go into the now playing list, press "enter" and activate "groups."

Here's another neat little tip -- press [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] 7 8 from the Now Playing list will give you a nice split screen/preview pane with info about the show that is highlighted.
