I worked at a cinema and saw Titanic countless times and was wondering about something....when Jack is let go from Rose and sinks to the bottom of the ocean, didn't she originally whisper/or very lowly say "goodbye"? This is not on the dvd, it just cuts to her swimming for the whistle. Does anyone remember?

I saw Titanic 8 times in theaters and remember that....I also remember it on the DVD...that I watched about a month ago...its there....

Actually...it's not there and it never was.

What Rose says as she lets Jack go is "I'll never let go Jack. I promise."

No goodbye. The scene in the DVD is exactly as it was in the theaters.

Funny how the mind plays tricks.
