For those who know, how does the DTS Laserdisc of TITANIC compare to the Dolby Digital DVD release?

Jason, if you have a really good player to spin the LD it looks darn near as good as the DVD. It's video is a touch noisier. LD is way more player dependent than DVD. The sounds on the LD wins hands down. When the bow breaks, it really breaks in DTS. Best wishes from Laserland!

I prefer the dts LD audio track over the DVD DD track.

I own both the DVD and the LD and the dts laserdisc is simply awesome. The sound is much better in dts.

While we are at it, how is the Dolby Digital LD? I know it is at a lower bitrate, but we all know how much that can mean sometimes. I have the DVD, and it sounds great. I want to get the DTS laser, but I need some cash for it first. Any thoughts on that DD LD though?

I've read lots of dissing of the DD LD track. I personally think it sounds great on my system.

I have both the Dolby Digital laserdisc and the DVD and the sound is roughly the same. The DVD may be slightly sweeter but not enough to make a major difference. The picture on the LD is surprisingly good on my widescreen television, almost as good as the DVD(though slightly noiser as Rachael mentioned). If I only had the laserdisc I wouldn't be unhappy with it.
