My two favorite endings couldn't be anymore opposite, and are both from two movies that I feel are only average.
The first is the ending to Desperate Measures. The last line and the quickest cut to credits I have ever seen just made my day.
The second is the ending to... Titanic. It feels odd, now, knowing that a large group thinks the same. I understand that it's a very popular movie, but I didn't know so many enjoyed the ending as the best.
The throwing of the diamonds into the ocean is nothing special to me, it's the death and/or dream that Rose has, where everyone is joyful and ready to celebrate life that hits me. I can only hope to have such a peaceful end to my life.
