Time Warner HD-Showtime? (1 Viewer)

I will be getting Time Warner cable this coming Thursday.
I read a few posts on how HBO Pan-n-Scans so i will only be getting Showtime.
I hopw i made the right choice.
Is HBO still only showing Panny Scanny?
Are the movies on Showtime pretty good?
I can hardly wait.

HBO may pan and scan but high Definition still looks great. I have Time Warner with a high definition box and "The Patriot" looked AWESOME this past Friday. My wife was even very impressed and believe me that is no easy feat.
