Greetings all!

I'm going to be setting up my first HT system in new construction using inwall fronts /inceiling surround. I'm leaning toward Polk but also considering HTD.

1. This is probably a real newbie question but...Is it important that the sub be timbre matched to the rest of the system? I've read alot of good things about SVS subs in this forum.

2. Any recomendations between Polk and HTD?

subs wont be timbre matched to anything.

timbre matching refers to speakers having a relatively close frequency response within their limits. since the sub covers the low frequency only, there isnt anything to match to. usually timbre matching refers to the front three or the surrounds in relation to the front three, since all those speakers cover the same frequency range.
