I've long been kind of critical with THX and it's so-called

standards. I didn't like THX re-equalization but I did like the fact they (used too?) set standards for bass and

playback levels and sound isolation in theaters.

However, does anyone KNOW where these so-called standards

can be read? Certainly not on THX's site, which goes on

and on about how their standards provide specific performance levels home components must reach to be badged

"THX" certified. Do they publish the specifics for things

    like power amps, receivers, etc?

Robert Harley's book "Home Theater for Everyone" has a bit of info on the specs, however these were before THX broke up into sub catagories (Ultra, etc.) It discusses re-equalization, surround decorrelation, timbre matching, sub x-overs, speaker specs and reciever/amp specs.
