I'd like to find some DVDs (preferbly with dts tracks) that are 5.1 and have nature sounds, thunder/rain storms and the like.

    Hi Ron,

Kenwood recently had a demo DVD of some new equipment they make. There were some demo clips on it such as some THX intros and it seems to me there were some kind of rainforest/jungle sound clips on it. I'll check tonite and if it does I can send you my DVD. I've already listened to it so I really have no need for it anymore.

    Would Castaway fit your criteria?

    How about A Bug's Life?
There's an isolated sound effects track on the DVD, so that's pretty helpful.

Actually, I'm looking for audio only type stuff, not movies. There are several out on CD, I was wondering if anyone makes something like this in a true 5.1 sound track.
Something I could just sit back and listen to.
    Peace Out~[IMG]

I was in best buy yesterday and saw in their DVD-A section a few discs entitled "Elements", they had one for water, one for fire, and two others. They had at least a Dolby 5.1 track on it as well, maybe even DTS, cant remember, but hey looked pretty cool though!

The only thing I can think of is fireplace
It has full DD5.1 AND DTS5.1 audio for:
    Christmas instrumental music
    Classical Music
    Fireplace crackling
or combination of Fireplace with either of the 2 instrumental music.
Plus of course the fireplace visual in 16:9 or 4:3
    Very nice! [IMG]
But as for nature sounds... haven't seen anything.
    Chris.

I would also like to find such a beast. I have a rain forest CD that is pretty cool but they placed Harp music over the top and I hate Harps!

The Kenwood THX "Jungle Sounds" is mixed incorrectly and should have been named "Sounds of Death". It is in no way shape or form relaxing!

If THX would have just record 60min of the real life Jungle sounds I would definitely be willing to pay for it.

You know what would be cool is a series of well mixed 5.1 DVD-A discs that are actual sound "No Music" of different locations through out the world with the appropriate weather sounds. I mean even Time Square might be cool. But for sure some cool thunder storms and mountain streams.
