Thanks very much for the report!Originally Posted by Hollywoodaholic
I'm about 30 episodes into this and there are a few exceptional episodes, such as "Man of Mystery" and the Ida Lupino-directed episode, "The Bride Died Twice." But it really is an odd duck. There are episodes that would fit on Alfred Hitchcock Presents featuring stories about murdering your spouse; there are some horror stories like the mirror episode mentioned; and then there's episodes like "The Specialists," which to me appeared to be a failed pilot for an procedural FBI-like series about investigators of crime-syndicates (and it was deadly dull). The strange brew mix is a plus, but the hits are still few and far between. The music and sound is outstanding, though, and the PQ is good if not great.
I decided to rent this from netflix for now, and based on your review that's looking like a good decision.
Still, I'm curious....
