I don't really know what I want to say in this post because this is one of those movies where the less you know about it going in, the better your experience will be. But I jut saw Three Identical Strangers the other day. It's a great, great documentary, but the story it tells is bad shit crazy, insane, and deeply disturbing on many levels. The reunion of the separated triplets is fun and exciting, but then when it starts to get into why they were separated in the first place, it get really dark and frankly upsetting really quickly. I thought the movie was great and highly recommend it, even if you don't normally go in for documentaries -- but it's going to rattle you.

Has anyone else seen it yet?

I saw this last week. I found it to be enjoyable but I think that they overplayed the conspiracy theory a bit too much.

I do no think that anyone from the study meant the separated children any harm. By the time the study would have been released the public's attitude would have shifted and the researchers were probably worried about people taking the study out of context.

I agree that the people doing the study probably did not intend harm. However, their intentions are kind of irrelevant when in practice it is very harmful. I suspect the reason that the study is under lock and key until 2066 is because they expect the people involved in the study to be dead y then, and therefore there isn't as much liability as if it were unsealed now. But it's still messed up.
