I just received Kieslowski's Three Colours Trilogy from Korea. I haven't had a chance to do a thorough review, but here are the basics.
The 3-disc set is coded region 0, so this is the first release playable on US players as well as the first NTSC release. The transfers are anamorphic and look very nice. There is an MK2 logo at the beginning of each film, so I'm assuming they just took the French MK2 transfers and converted them to NTSC. I didn't notice any artifacting in my brief scans through the discs. There are quite a few extras as well. English subtitles were properly-synched and seemed to be well done gramatically.
Anyway, for those of us who don't want to wait for the Mouse to bring these out (they've been promising these for what....2 years now?), at $57 for the three disc set, this is definitely a viable alternative.
I'll try to post more details in the next day or so.
    Jeff

Does it have the same features as the R2 Artificial Eye releases? "Kieslowski Masterclass," interview with the stars, etc?

I went through the extras. Unfortunately, there are no English subs on the extras (only removable Korean subs). So if you don't speak French or Korean, then these may not mean as much to you.
    Blue
    -Kieslowski's Masterclass
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Juliette Binoche
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Irene Jacob
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Jacques Witte (editor)
    -trailers for all 3 films
-3 audio tracks from the soundtrack
    White
    -Kieslowski's Masterclass
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Julie Delpy
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Marin Karmitz (producer)
    -The Making Of White
    -trailers for all 3 films
-3 audio tracks from the soundtrack
    Red
    -Kieslowski's Masterclass
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Irene Jacob
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Martin Karmitz
-audio commentary of selected scenes by Jacques Witte
    -The Making Of Red
-Kieslowski At Cannes (15 minute featurette)
    -trailers for all 3 films
-3 audio tracks from the soundtrack
Overall, I don't speak French so I don't care about the extras. But I am very happy to have these films presented properly in a nice package for a reasonable price. Those of you more concerned with the extras probably should wait for a R1 release or if you're multi-region, get the UK releases which are more expensive, but I believe the extras are subtitled.

Thanks for the info. I think that I’ll continue to wait. These have to come out in R1 editions soon.

Like the UK editions from Artificial Eye, the Korean discs are ports of the French releases from MK2. The extras are superb, and so I would recommend splurging for the UK editions with the English subs. I don't anticipate Miramax offering anything of comparable quality in R1.

    Jeff,
Appreciate the initial review! So you are happy with the transfer on these Korean discs?

As I understand from the exchange above, the only down side is a lack of English subtitles on the extras?

Thanks for taking the time to post this information!

So is the Korean disc based on a PAL source? If so, does it suffer from any PAL speedup issues?

Hmmm, so it's the UK edition with English subs on the specials & PAL speedup vs. the Korean edition with no subtitles on specials, but no PAL speedup? Decisions, decisions....

Do NOT order the Korean discs!
Artificial Eye Region 2 Pal vs. Paraent (Paradise Entertainment ) Korean - Region 0 - NTSC
If my sources are correct and we have triple checked them... then the Korean Tri-Color Trilogy ( Kieslowski, Blue, White and Red ) may be anamorphic, but they are definitely NOT in the correct aspect ratio (1.85:1) . They have taken the original and vertically squeezed it (somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1.78 to 1.66 :1 ), as well as the Extras not having English subtitles. So unless you want to see the characters longer and thinner than intended, avoid these Korean Region 0 releases... and get a Region-free player or wait till they come out in R1.
You can see the captures for yourself with Blue as my first example at:

    Thanks for the update Gary.

I was on the fence, and really mulling it over for the last couple days.

This definitely makes my decision for me.

I'll wait for Miramax's release... hopefully it's not a long wait.
