Just wondering if anyone has had this done and if so, what are your thoughts on how your set now performs?

I'm having Gregg Loewen do the yearly touch-up on my calibration this September/October and plan on having him line my Toshiba 57HX81 with Duvetyne.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I used to not recommend duvetyne lining. Until I was able to tweek out a set and do some demoing and then did a lining. In doing back to back demoes I did notice a difference.

    regards

Doesn't modifying the cabinet void the warranty if it were to be discovered by a service tech?

Not if u place the Duvetyne in such a way that u can easily take it off. I did mine on my own opting for the "draped" over method of lining the cabinet instead of stapling them on.
It does lessen considerably the halos around light sources in movies, as well as better contrast.
