Black out cloth is about the same price as their paper and is much more durable...plus it should give you similar results. There's also a host of professional screen materials that you can buy for very reasonable prices to get you even closer to the 'pro' screens. www.Dazian.com is a good place to start if that's of interest to you.

Ditto that. Dazian has an eBay shop, as well, where you can find other theater accoutrements like curtain fabric and velvet.

The frame from that DIY and a fabric screen from a supplier like Dazian and you'd get yourself a nice winner, especially for the buck.
