looking for a new receiver. I am just using the pre-amp section and processing. I have narrowed down to Denon 982 or the Kenwood 6070. I have the Kenwood now but I can still return. Any advice is desired. I had a Denon AVR3300 that I loved, but I want seperates. Would like to get just the pre-amp but can not afford yet.

Picked up the Kenwood for 450, would like to stay in that ball park.

Well between those two I would choose the Kenwood. I think it would work well as a pre-pro and it has more features than the Denon. Have you considered the Harman Kardon AVR-320?

I would like to have DD-EX, I might take a look at the 325 if it is out. Any other suggestions
