I will agree with those who say "get both" if you have a chance. I bought my CC version at regular price back when it was released. Not sure I'd pop $100 or whatever they're going for on eBay.

But if you have the CC version and are looking at the MGM one, go ahead and spring for it if you love the movie. The in-character commentary is funny (IMO) and some of the different extras are cool. Plus it's only $15, right?

Cool. So I'll check out the MGM DVD then. if i stumble on the CC one, I'll check it out but its not worth $100 to me, thats for sure! Except of course, if I buy it, watch and re-sell it

Does anyone else have negative feelings against MGM for not using its OAR?

If there was a difference in aspect ratio it was very, very small. I have both, and I think the CC was something like 1.77:1, while the MGM version was 1.85:1. Not that much of a difference, IMO.

So, I do not hold any negative feelings towards MGM.

MGM used the AR at which the film ran in the vast majority of American theatres both originally and during its recent theatrical re-release. I can't really fault them for doing so.
