    I think most will agree......
I think this has got to be the greatest forum on the net. I frequent about 4 or 5 other forums (but this one the most) and I see 25% content and 75% kid immature bullshit.
Then I come on here and get like 95% content. I get so sick of reading these other forums with kids just blasting there mouth off. Someone will act ask a legit question and the next 5 replies would be like..... retard or dumbass.
With HTF I get the perfect mix of everything. If I ever need anything, I can pop on here and get an answer in a little bit.
Well keep up the good job! This site rocks

I agree, Dave. [IMG] I visit some other fairly decent forums but this place is the best. One forum in particular has no rules about politics, religion, and the like. Every week or so some "discussion" or "debate" errupts and while it starts out civil, after a several pages just becomes a flamefest. There's a reason those topics are not allowed here and the rule helps keep this place wonderful.

I agree with that, both when I joined as a new member a few years back and as a mod now. The thing that got me was the civility of the members here.

This is so nice to read. I think I can speak
for Parker when I say we are both touched by these
    remarks.

I am not trying to pat ourselves on the back, but
there is no uncertainty about us being the best forum
on the net. We are very proud of the success this
forum has enjoyed and even more of our membership
that understands the philosophies we have set forth
here. This membership is the most intelligent of
any forum and the fact that the entire industry
closely monitors their opinions here is a reflection
    of that intelligence level.

The weakness of this forum lies in its growth.
The fact that we average over 55 new signups a day
is putting a strain on our resources. This is
something we are going to ask our membership to help
us fix, and you'll all be receiving an email about
what we need to do in the near future.

Our growth levels over the past years have also
led some to believe we are no longer a personable
and intimate forum. I think our membership can
testify to the fact that because we have weeded out
problem members (who go elsewhere to badmouth us)
and because we have stricter guidelines than most
other forums, this forum remains more
personable than ever. Any person who comes here
with the intention of partaking in polite and
constructive Home Theater discussion will never
realize we have any guidelines in place.

It amazes us that though our worst critics shake
their fists at the way we run this forum, we still
manage to grow at an astonishing rate and garner
praises like this from a membership that understands
    us better than anyone else.

Before anyone considers leaving this forum for
anyplace else, I invite you to send Parker or I
a personal email about the problems you are having.
I even invite those that have already gone elsewhere
to do the same. Write me and tell me why you have
gone elsewhere. If your problem is truly
an error on our part, we will do whatever we can
to mend our error. No member in good standing here
should ever consider to go somewhere else.

    I couldn't agree more.
I've surfed around a couple other HT related forums, but never started posting. I like the atmosphere here much more.

It makes my $21.95 a month internet bill worth every penny. By far the best. Ron and the mods kick ass.

    Hi, I'm Dave, and I'm a forumaholic...
    (( Hi Dave ))
My work gives me the luxury of spending countless hours reading message boards, sometimes I feel I've checked out every single one on the net! Even run/have run a few myself.
I signed up here late September... just a few months ago...
I can honestly say... without a doubt... unconditionally... THE Absolute Best forums on the planet are right here! The number of registered members makes that fact simply amazing. Not only do I have the utmost respect for the founders and mods of this site, but also hold that respect for just about every member I've had the pleasure of trading ideas and opinions with.
Anyway... great work! Kudos! Three cheers! uh... you get the idea [IMG]

    Thanks again.

Hopefully, once (and if) we overcome our upcoming
server and ISP problems we have plans to make
this forum even better than ever!

    Stay tuned!
