I have been reading where it says that you can make the dialouge ect louder and the volumne, do I need to get this , DOes it work with all recievers, or only certain ones . Most of the dialog in movies is plenty loud , except when they are whispering ,its a little harder to hear them

A calibration disc won't do anything to make dialog louder really- it will make all the channels even, making your home setup at the same levels the people who made the movies heard- and hopefully it will sound more "balanced" to you.

A calibration disc will work with any receiver that lets you adjust the speaker levels individually.
