What would a one year old, in nice condition ps2 with box, extra sony controller and 4 games (GTA3, GT3, Tony Hawk 3, and Virtua Fighter 4) be worth on the used market ? Just looking for a ballpark figure.

I would say, around $325 - $350. SELL IT NOW, before E3... there may be a price-drop.

I'd say VF4 & GTA3 would be worth about $30 each, THPS3 $25, and GT3 $15 (at the most since it's now $20 new), the extra controller $20, the PS2 $225. Hey look, that's right around where Rob put it That would include shipping I'd say, and the person would still be making out better than buying used products at GameStop.

Thanks for the replies. That's more than I expect to get for it but one can hope. Morgan - Why shouldn't I sell it ? It was fun for a while but I just don't see anything good coming.

Bad news Michael (unless you already sold it). They dropped the price of the PS2 down to $199, and peripheral prices dropped too.
Used PS2's will probably fetch around $175 initially, maybe less.

Yeah I heard the news last night. It was expected, no one knew how soon. After looking at the ebay scene, I didn't expect to get more than around 200-250. I suppose I'll hang on to it now, in case something worthwhile does crop up. (Doubtful)

I think gamestop is now selling used PS2's for $169. I'd argue that you could only get $150 now for a used PS2, console only.
Darn fine deal, I think. I'll probably be looking for one in the next month. gotta have time to let the SVS purchase fade from the SO's memory.
