We are thinking of it because Stacy’s iMac is a mid 2011 with a 21.5” screen. We wanted to upgrade to High Sierra so she could run a later version of adobe pdf. However we can’t upgrade because the disk has errors. Spent a couple hours this morning and couldn’t even get the disk utility programs to fix the disk to launch. So maybe a new Mac for me and she gets my hand me down. It’s a 27.5” 2014, I think.
I’d get the 27” Retina 5K version. The specs all mention SSD storage 256 or 512. I don’t see mention of a hard drive. That can’t be all the storage? I see it says the SSD is configurable to 1 TB fusion drive. Does that mean it comes with the fusion drive? There’s no way to select it. Ok, when I select the lowest model, all you can get is the SSD. Have to go up to mid-level or higher to get a 1TB drive. So lowest level model only has SSD storage, that doesn’t make sense.
This is getting way to expensive now.
