I recently bought a Sony Hi-Scan 46 inch RPHDTV http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...YAAADzfCz9zFwE it has a nice picture and all but its not quite as big as I thought it would be. One of the decideing factors was the fact it would fit on my current TV stand, and I have a lot of other equipment on the shelves. Im disappointed in the fact it down converts 720p to 480p, but again the main thing is I want a bigger one.
I was browsing Circuit City's web site and came across this a http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?model...L026923&page=3 JVC 56 inch RPHDTV, I was going to get this one but I would like some opinions first or suggestions for other sets no more then $2300 range. The JVC has Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T) where all sources are up-converted to 1080i. Im not familiar with D.I.S.T technology, do any of you know if it works well?
