The game is now out. Anyone planning on buying it? I will be, but my system needs a serious upgrade before I do. Just as well, since I want to be able to play Half Life 2 and Doom III as well.

I assume you're talking the PC side of things? I want to pick it up for the Xbox, prolly next week.

  3. Game looks great. I loved the first one, only played a demo of the second. I did read IGN's review of the game. Didn't agree with the part saying about how a multiplayer/online could work. As it would be cool having 2 teams of thieves and guards it wouldnt work well with the way the game is set up. All the guards would have to do is run around until they ran into you and then it might as well be a 1-1 combat game.

Could anyone out there playing the PC version of Thief-Deadly Shadows give me a hint of where to look for the Builder's Chalise? I've been through the entire map and cannot find it. Any help would be appreciated.

The Chalice is in the factory in a suspended cage.

Seems we're in the midst of another wave of strong games. [IMG]

I'm a huge fan of the Thief series but my computer is not up to par so to speak to run this game. So hopefully within a years time I'll be able to enjoy the gaming goodness that I've been missing out on in the past year.

  10. Anyone playing the Xbox version? I read IGN's review of the game and they said everything is great about the game except its a big sluggish at times. Anyone have this problem

The framerate is a tad slow at 30fps, but it doesn't really dampen the gameplay at all, and after the second mission or so, one becomes acclimated to it. The graphics look very good on the Xbox version; I was expecting more of reduction in texture quality.
