Not that I'm gonna complain, but I'm wondering how places can sell DVDs so cheaply at times. Take Basic Instinct (Unrated Version), which is currently the 2nd-most popular DVD at DDD. Just $7.97 for this one! And it's an SE to boot! Not too shabby. I have questions about Basic Instinct. Perhaps some fellow HTF'ers can jump in here. ...... I've looked at several different on-line shoppes, and have come up with no less than THREE different variations for this film's OAR! DDD claims it's the unusual 1.78 (which I'm nearly certain it is NOT), DVDEmpire seems to like the 1.85:1 ratio here. While Amazon, just to be different, claims it's 2.35. Anyone care to break this tie? Thanks. (I'd guess Amazon wins @ 2.35.) Also on the subject of B. Instinct, last December 19th an HTF member wrote this in a similar thread..... >>"I wrote a letter last year to Artisan complaining about the ice-pick packaging and within two weeks they sent me out the official "unrated" case." Am I to presume from the above comment that the "unrated" cover art is different from the bulging Ice Pick packaging used for the R-rated DVD? Because I can find no on-line site that shows a different case for the unrated version. Thanks.
