Doesn't say anything about special features though. For those with PAL playback capability get the R2 version from play.com with the commentary track. Also, it's priced at an incredible low £5.99. [IMG]

Unfortunately the R2 editions have been badly cropped on either side of the frame [IMG]
The only saving grace is the funny commentary with Carpenter and Piper [IMG]

Hopefully this R1 edition is correctly framed as well having the commentary

I hope these are SE's. I have the decent-enough older versions from Image. If they're barebones, there won't be much of a reason to upgrade.

Yes! I sold my OOP copy for about $50 last year after watching it once, and I've been jonesing to see it again. Universal's doing pretty good with the OOP releases this year.

Is The Thing getting a re-release? With anamorphic print?

I noticed it in the JC boxset.

Well, in the words of Roddy Piper, I'm here to buy DVDs and to chew bubble gum... and I'm all out of bubble gum... wait a minute... that wasn't right...

This thread is being hijacked by people who want universal to re-release their former Image titles. It must stop.

*cough cough* Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie. *cough*

    excuse me!
