Those do look sweet! Especially the first two. The graphics are wonderful. I love good platformers, so I hope these are indeed new XBOX games.

[EDIT]

I ran across some additional information on the IGN boards:

Tork is the game that is being developed by Yeti Interactive.

Tao Feng is the John Tobias fighter being developed by Studio Gigante.

Blink is the game being developed by Artoon, which is headed up by the co-creators of Sonic and NiGHTS.

They sure are pretty graphics.
But, imho, the Xbox doesn't really need a mascot; does it?
I mean, why does it need a fuzzy, warm, cute little character? Screw that...make it the Spartan II, super soldier, otherwise known as Master Chief! :D

I remember when MS was saying how the GameCube had all these cutesy characters and such, but after looking at some of those screens, maybe that was smack-talk, but them stating a lesson they learned.

I just hope these games aren't stereotypical platformers. They look similar to Rayman meets Jak and Daxter.

That's a pretty accurate assessment of the look of the games, Morgan. (not necessarily a bad thing, but familiar they are-damn it, I'm going to start talking like Yoda soon) I think the goggles are a large part of it with the one character there.

That reminds me, there are Rayman 3 shots out there this week, too. Personally, I want to see Sega make a great Sonic game on all systems this time around.

not afraid to admit he likes a quality platformer now & again

Won't 'Mario Sunshine' be a stereotypical platformer?

If the game is excellent, I have nothing against the genre.

Actually, 'Rayman 2' on the DC was the most single-player fun I'd had a console in years.

Well said Michael, I completely agree.

I think a mascot from a non M rated game is a good thing to have. Look at what Mario, Zelda, Sonic or Crash have done for their respective consoles during their history.

I agree with you guys, Michael and Dean. I would welcome a good platformer on the XBox. Something that would be cool, cute, and addicting for my gf and me.

I can't say I'm impressed by the fighter screens.

Apparently that Blinx game has a play mechanic like Soul Reaver - you can go 'back in time' & alter the world to reach different parts of it in the future etc.

I'm not a big fighting game fan, so the screenshots of that one don't really affect me one way or the other. But I wanted to say that the "Ho Dog" sign in the background of the last picture absolutely cracked me up for some reason. Is that a pet store for street-walkers? :)
