Watched this last night and seemed to remember that this film had:

an intermission (after the wedding sequence?) and play in to part two.

a choral version of the title song (after the end credits or as the intro to part two?). Mitch Miller?

both of which are missing rom the dvd.

Am I correct or is my memory showing signs of age !!

Sony seems to be releasing another version, in the UK at least; the BBFC has just passed it for certification and listed in the extras is an 'intermission / entr'acte' nearly six minutes in length. One of the other extras is called 'Epic Restoration'.

No reason to doubt that it will also be coming R1's way.

At 158 minutes an intermission or in the UK, an interval, was not necessary, although available.

As I recall they were positive cut in, along with the overture, etc.

I saw the film when it was first released theatrically in the UK and it definitely had an intermission. Thanks for the information about a new version John, I'll look out for that. I do like to have my intermissions!

I seem to remember the Mitch Miller Sing Along Gang vocal, too: "Islands of Greece, the guns are hidden there, guns are hidden there, in a fortress made of stone..."
