I adore this show. I would love to own the series on DVD.

But, This asks the question.

Why definately owns the rights to release The Wonder Years on DVD ?

Could Ron or someone maybe help to answer this question ?

I'm not sure who owns the rights to it, but I'd love it too. There was a rumor posted at Dark Horizons a while ago that the first season may hit in August...but nothing official has been said.

The Wonder Years is one of my all time favorite shows. It introduced me to a lot of great old songs as well as always being funny and entertaining.

I tried to watch that Delta Entertainment Best of the Wonder Years collection and the menu was so useless I couldn't figure out if it was one "best of" montage thing or a few episodes or what? Then when I put it in to play, the theme song was not the Joe Cocker version of With A Little Help From My Friends but a cheap remake by who the hell knows who! The disc was pretty rotten so let's hope that if they ever do come out on DVD (keep your fingers crossed) that they won't be anything like these first two pieces of crap.

And therein lies the problem in bringing this series to DVD, that old bugaboo called music rights.

I hope that Dark Horizons rumor is true, but it's going to cost someone a pretty penny to bring this show to DVD in the form in which it originally aired. I'll start celebrating when I see an official announcement.
