Heads up for anyone interested: The 4K edition, which the cover art says will have a standard Blu-ray disc included as well, is currently pre-ordering for $29.31. The standard Blu-ray standalone edition which I had pre-ordered earlier is currently at $34.99. This makes the 4K+Blu cheaper for the moment. As of the time I'm writing this, anyway.

Because Amazon does not charge or even pre-authorize funds until the item is ready to ship, I've decided to pre-order the 4K edition as well. I don't need the 4K disc but will happily take it if in addition to a 1080p copy it ends up being cheaper. Pending possible future price adjustments, I'll simply cancel whichever order is higher when street date is near.

That final cover art for the 4K edition is really awful.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't just use the temporary artwork distributed to Amazon a couple months ago, which is based on the theatrical poster and looks much better.

That being said, I'm still excited to get this disc for my collection.

I posted earlier that the 4K+Blu-ray disc was on sale cheaper than the Blu-ray counterpart.

Amazon has now corrected that and lowered the Blu-ray to $28.48.

I hope it will continue to drop more before the release date, but at least it is now the less expensive one of the two releases.

Here is the artwork for the standalone Blu-ray edition.

Between the two, I like this better than what they are using for the 4K. But neither one is anywhere near good as the temporary art which was drawn from the theatrical poster. I still wish Sony had just used that.
