I am just now watching the recent UK release of The Wild Geese (1978)
and it is gorgeous! The anamorphic 1.85 picture looks pristine.
I can't remember seeing any scratch or blemish at all.
The sound is "only" Dolby Surround but it is very good,
nice directional sounds from the fronts, no hiss and
doesn't sound dated. Not much rear surround
    activity though.

There is an audio commentary with Roger Moore, producer
Euan Lloyd and editor John Glen but I haven't listened
    to it yet.

I love The Wild Geese, great fun, great cast and a great dvd. I was surprised how good the stereo was, picture was solid, good colour, fine work all round.

    The Wild Geese
    The Dirty Dozen
    The Longest Day
    A Bridge Too Far
    Battle of Britain

All bought in June and all region 2. [IMG]

Battle of Britain was the best dvd in that group IMO, and my personal favorite.
