I think Ike was onto something talking about the best games. I've been thinking about this idea for quite some time, and I think that it would be awesome to come up with the HTF Top 50 Console Games. Here are some ideas:
    1. The Nomination Process
    - Any valid HTF member, moderators included, gets to nominate 10 console games. No "seconding" needed. If somebody has already nominated a game, there's no need to nominate it again. Because I'm doing the tallying for this, let's go for 125 nominations.
    2. The Voting Process
    - Each HTF member selects their top fifteen console games of all time. Their top game gets 15 points, number 2 gets 14, number 3 gets 13, and so on. Rankings will be based on the number of points accumulated.
That's the basic gist of it so far. Any ideas would be more than welcome.
Remember, this is discussion of ideas only for right now. I probably won't be starting the actually thing until probably mid January.
Edit: I've decided to put the list up front so that everybody can read and see what's already been nominated.

I wasn't sure if Stampede was famous in it's time or not, but I remember as a kid it being one of my favorite games. I would sit for hours trying to rope that black cow. I found the cart again yesterday, which jogged my memory.

And I forgot Frogger, another absolutely addictive old game! Someone needs to nominate it! (Man, I could do more than ten. Cowboy games got me thinking about Sunset Riders, the first console game I actually beat. I still remember the end boss, who died, and then pulled a tin plate from behind his chest. That bastard!)

Sorry Gary..I meant to put "+x-box" in the parenthesis. I have gone ahead and added that to my original post.
I'm being a bit more generalized in the sense of the game itself. Both versions are still Silent Hill 2 so I try not to make a distinction between the two in an all-time greatest list[IMG]
Thanks though! I almost didn't notice I forgot that.

Keep em coming folks. Let's stick to nominations for right now though, but if Mr. Romier S wants his top 15 to be nominations, respond back to this thread. As a a matter of fact, let's try and get as many members to join this thread as we can.

    To Kip

    - any non PC/Mac games will do fine, but I'm a little iffy on the Commodore 64. Yes even the Atari 2600 and the X-Box are included.

    Morgan,
I think you mean Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time[IMG]. A Link to the Past is the SNES Zelda game. (a fantastic game in its own right.)

    Romier-

Actually, I meant Link to the Past, but put the wrong console. I had to choose between Ocarina, Majora, or Link to the Past, and that won.

Now I think I understand the term "fanboy." Have you at least tried a non-Nintendo system?
