It doesn't even make sense to describe a Blu-ray as "non-anamorphic." Unlike DVD, which supports two different aspect ratios--4:3 and 16:9 ("anamorphic widescreen")--Blu-ray supports only the 16:9 ratio.
To be clear, it's certainly possible to present 4:3 material on Blu-ray, but this requires "windowboxing" it within the 16:9 frame; it wouldn't be "non-anamorphic" in the way a 4:3 DVD is.
agreed!!!....but is there a chance then that this is "window boxed"...not a good president for such a program. i don't watch tv....so i'm wondering if it was broadcast that way.
