It would have been interesting to have the English dubbed track as an option as it was release in North America and shown on TV that way.

Here are clips from the English actually American dub. I would stick with French.

Incredible how they matched the cadence (is that the right word?) of the English lyrics with the actors' mouth movements. The phonemes didn't match the mouth shapes, of course, but the timing was darn near perfect.

But the text of the English? Yuck! It was not musical or poetic in any way.

Yes I thought it was remarkable how close their mouths matched the English words. Would have been interesting to have had it as an extra.

I have said this over and over again. I have it. They could have used it. But no, the film was not released in North America in dubbed form to theaters EVER. It had, as far as I know, only one or two showings back in the early 1980s and that was it. Happily, I saw it back then after hearing about it for years and not believing it existed - Channel 13 on late-night. In fact, I know I found the date so hold on - got it - Tuesday January 28, 1986 - 1:30 in the morning.
