So, are we back to getting release announcements from TT every two months? Kind of surprised we didn't have an announcement this week (especially since we don't have anything announced beyond next month from them).

Who doesn't love a TT announcement? But, at the same time, my view is as follows:
A transition remains at hand; therefore, IMHO, if there's already an available title that you, me or we have yet to purchase, then this would be an ideal time to chip away at all that remains on our list. No kidding, I betcha there's still a good dozen or two from the older offerings that we still covet, but have yet taken action upon. Heck, I'll even betcha there's still a stash of titles we already own and still haven't viewed. Well, at least, that's been true in my case and on both these fronts.

It's a bit depressing that there may never be another announcement .

Yes, it would be depressing; but that announcement, to our greater fortune, is also one that has not been made.
Were such a thing to happen, then I would just have to look back with the greatest of gratitude and admiration for all of the enrichments we so enjoyed within this single and bravura decade.
Meanwhile, let's think positives, keep our supports going and make purchases of those existing titles we have yet to own.

Yup, there should really have been an announcement today (Saturday nearest the 20th of the month). I'm afraid I haven't bought anything in many a moon, I just haven't fancied any of the releases. I checked this morning hoping there was some sixties Sony titles, & nothing. I hope all is okay at TT.

Why would they announce any titles today when they're not coming out with any new unannounced titles until October?

I think it’s important to remember that today didn’t arrive in a vaccuum. Nick handled a lion’s share of the work and since he had been ill for a while, that work output slowed or stopped. And Julie’s time was no doubt spent taking care of him. So even if TT continues to reward us with its business for years to come, we are going to feel the effects of that slowdown on their output for a while. It’s only natural and it may not signify anything more than that.

And if it turns out that maybe their hearts aren’t in it without Nick, that would be understandable. Either way, I am grateful for what they provided over the years.

I didn't know that. That's a hell of a gap, from June to October.

A decent sale too. I've just ordered Genghis Khan for $14.95, & I've just noticed Pirates Of Blood River for the same price. I'll probably order that next week - I could have ordered both of them & saved on p&p ($13 to the UK), but then I'm in for customs & post office charges, so I'm happy as it is.

They still can't get rid of those two regular DVD titles no matter how far the price drops!

I've dragged my feet buying The Train, so going to order at Screen Archives since it's out of stock at Twilight Time. But one of those that I want to place an order for is Black Widow, which came by mistake with a regular blue case.

Anyone know if Screen Archives offers the free clear case replacement upon request like Twilight Time mentions at their Black Widow product page? Or I wonder if TT perhaps the next time I place an order direct with them, would be willing to include a spare clear case when I explain?

I'd like to keep all my Twilight Time releases matching, but it's obviously not too terribly important at the end of the day. Also going to order The Whole Town's Talking and Gidget.
