    Hi everyone,
Just wondering if the original RKO THE THING was on DVD some place on this planet -- and if the DVD is worth acquiring.

I picked up the old Image Special Edition LD. Unfortunately I got the cut version (missing slightly over a minute of various dialogue snippets), but it's a decent transfer and better than nothing!

Can someone recommend a place to buy the DVD if it exists, and if the transfer is watchable enough? Or should I just stick with what I have?

As far as I'm aware that movie has never been released on DVD, anywhere. I wish it had been. [IMG]

Thanks for that Sean, also been looking for a copy. Dvdgo says temporary out of stock but I've placed an order anyway. Looks like it's anamorphic, just hope the subs aren't fixed. Postage a bit pricey for only one item. The site has an English version when you enter - very helpful.

Thanks for that Damin. It actually says both 4:3 and 16x9, so there should be a full screen choice. But don't know how accurate this site is. Have to wait and see.
